Jonas: A Brief History

Hi! My name is Jonas and I grew up and live in Norrbotten, Sweden. Already as a child in the eighties, my interest in technology was ignited as I toyed with the channel buttons on the TV. Yes, when it was still a thing to walk to the TV to change channels. Growing up in the golden age of the home computer, I eventually reluctantly ended up where we would all end up: with a PC.

I thus studied computer engineering at Luleå University of Technology and am currently employed as a full stack developer. Our department has been developing geographical information systems for design and documentation of district heating, electricity, optic and water supply and sewerage networks for Windows and mobile devices for about 20 years. In addition, I provide internal support as an IT coordinator. Our customers are municipalities and energy utilities mostly in Sweden and Norway. Technically, we work mainly with .NET, ASP .NET Core, VueJS. Our products also have a history in C++.

In my free time I am often seen out in nature, preferably with a camera in hand. I like to photograph scenic environments, northern lights and comets, but also more down-to-earth things like weddings!

My wife and I sometimes also go on geocaching trips in the summer; a great reason to go hiking, often rewarding us with discovering new nuggets of gold deep in the nature of Sweden.
